Hilton Coachworks has become Jigcar’s first accident repair client. The move signals expansion by the award-winning AI-powered vehicle transport and operations solution provider, which works with some of the UK’s largest car retailers.
Based near Stansted, Hilton Coachworks is a manufacturer-approved accident repair specialist working with over 50 franchised dealer sites, collecting and returning vehicles across the East of England.
Jigcar’s Transport Management System (TMS) has been rolled out to utilise the collection and delivery of all repair vehicles, replacing manual processes.
The platform’s optimisation planning engine takes every collection and delivery request for the day and builds driver routes designed to cover the work with fewer miles and fewer empty legs. While dealer site coordinators automatically receive daily notifications of every vehicle due to arrive or leave.
Hilton now has a clearer view of how its transporters and drivers are deployed, creating more optimised workflows across the business.
Elliott Perks, CEO and Co-Founder of Jigcar, said: "We’re excited to welcome Hilton Coachworks as our first accident repair client. This marks a step towards our strategic growth in the sector.
“Bodyshops carry the same transport cost as dealer groups, with less margin to absorb it; so every collection and delivery is a vehicle off the road and a customer waiting.
"Jigcar’s TMS brings every request into one digitised plan, so the Hilton team can group journeys, make fuller use of its own drivers and transporters, and keep dealers informed without picking up the phone."
Paul Underdown, Managing Director of Hilton Coachworks, said: “Before Jigcar, each of our account managers booked collections and deliveries on their own, and planning the day meant pulling it together from a diary and spreadsheets.
“We now have more efficient workflows. Every request goes into one plan; our dealer partners know what’s arriving and when and we can see where our trucks are going without chasing anyone.
“The planning data has been eye-opening. It’s shown us where we can get more out of our existing transporters, and we’re now looking at modifications to the fleet so we can handle more of our work as efficiently as possible as we grow.”
